Thoughts on reading REVELATION
If we love God, spend time with Him just like we are in love with someone, we will definitely want to spend time with him or her. We do not want to miss any opportunity to see him or her, or to talk to him or her.
I am disciplining myself to read 1 chapter of REVELATION everyday despite the busy schedule. I ask God to help me because I cannot do it with my strength. My dear brothers and sisters are spending time with God as well because they love Him.
A quiz
Chapter 1:
Is this book a revelation, prophecy, or a letter?
Where was John when he wrote this book?
What did John see?
What was he asked to do?
What is the purpose of reading this book?
Chapter 2-3:
How many churches were there?
Were there praises or rebukes or nothing from the Lord to the churches?
How many time this line had occurred "He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches"?
My reflection - I have similar experience as the churches then in the minor Asia. As I read about the church in Ephesus, I realize I have forsaken the first love. I din spent quality time with God. Most of the time, I am in a rush, and just say "Hi" to God and start the day without God. Sometimes I feel bored or I don’t feel like meeting God. I am truly remorseful. I want to repent and go deep in the fellowship with God once again.
Chapter 4-5:
What did John see in the heaven?
Who was the ONE that seated on the throne?
Who was the ONE who opened the scroll? Why?
Who is taking control of the human history? Who is He?
Just some thoughts and put it down to help me to remember.

Is life beautiful?
Or is it boredom?
Is there something that you can do to make a difference?
Is there an impact you can bring to your generation?
You hold in your hands a work of love.
The 40-Day prayer guide.
This issue is special. It commemorates ten sessions of 40-Day prayer with fasting. Behind this work of extraordinary love are ordinary people who prefer to remain unnamed, unacknowledged - so that the Lord our God will get all the credit, all the honor, all the glory, and all the praise.
To mark this significant milestone, we went for a different style, a different approach. We pulled together a team, a mix of young and old. It's a prophetic act to signal a generation shift. So we got a twenty-something to do most of the writing, allowing her the space to transcribe the groans of the Spirit deep within her soul. The chief editors are people in their fifties with a unique calling to stand with God for His revival and prophetic dreams for this nation. Our proof reader is a spunky thirteen year old who did more than just proof read. With a sense of mission, she queried and gave excellent input that sharpened our thinking. Though the age gap is significant, there was nonetheless a fantastic chemistry. There was easy agreement and mutual submission. There was the overflow of passion, and the evidence of God's amazing grace from start to end. To God be all glory.
The theme this year is Defining Moments. It's an invitation to get up close and personal with God. Look inside, Go deep. It’s a call to grow up and move beyond self. Look far. Ask big.
Defining Moments.
It's a choice.
How is your reading and your reflection as you follow the prayer guide?
Are you making commitment to the Lord that you are learning to submit and commit to the Lord once again according to the Lord's will for you?
